Amanda Artru

Performing Arts Fellow

Amanda Artru is a Performing Arts Fellow in the Performing Arts Program at the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation. In this role, Amanda supports and assists with projects to implement the Program’s strategies and grantmaking activities.

Prior to joining the foundation, Amanda worked as a mental health counselor and educator serving Bay Area youth. She was raised in the East Bay and remains active as a performing artist, participating in a variety of projects.

Amanda is a long-time company member with The Imaginists theater collective, serves as the East Bay correspondent for the Broken Record Radio Show, and recently has taken up guitar in her band, Frankincense is not a Monster.

Amanda holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology from Sonoma State University and a master’s degree in counseling from the University of San Diego.
