May Aguiar

Program Associate, Gender Equity and Governance

May Aguiar is a Program Associate in the Gender Equity and Governance program at the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation. She supports the evidence-informed policymaking strategy that aims to ensure that policymakers can access and use high-quality evidence in their decisions.

Prior to joining the foundation, May served as an area manager for the San Francisco Parks Alliance, where she managed community grants and advocated for improved parks, open spaces, and environmental justice in the southeastern portion of San Francisco.

Born and raised in Brazil, May has a bachelor’s degree in international relations and her portfolio includes work around social justice, support to diplomatic missions, and event planning.
